Barrett Banister

When Barrett Bannister joined V Wealth, he brought with him the same drive, discipline, and team-first mindset that shaped him as a collegiate athlete and leader. His passion lies in helping families navigate the financial decisions that impact both their present and future, providing thoughtful guidance tailored to their goals and values.

Barrett’s journey began in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he grew up balancing sports, church activities, and family time. His leadership and commitment to excellence carried through to his years at the University of Missouri, where he played football for the Tigers and served as a team captain. Ranked among the program’s top 15 players in receptions, Barrett also distinguished himself off the field, earning recognition on the SEC Honor Roll five times and being named to the SEC Community Service Team. His academic achievements include both a Bachelor’s in Sports Management and a Master’s in Psychology.

Now settled in Kansas City, Barrett works closely with clients as part of the V Wealth team. He strives to bring the same focus and dedication that defined his athletic career to helping families create meaningful financial strategies.

Outside the office, Barrett enjoys golf and time with family and friends. He and his wife, Sarah—whom he met during their college years at Missouri—are excited to welcome Jack Thomas ‘JT’ Banister, into their family.
